Privacy Policy
Last updated May 24, 2026.
This policy explains what data MyKitchen collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. MyKitchen is published by Boothe Holdings LLC ("we", "us"). If you have questions, email support@my-kitchen.app.
What we collect
Your phone number
When you create a MyKitchen account, we ask for your phone number and send a one-time SMS verification code to confirm it. We store the verified number, a generated user ID, and the time the account was created on our servers (hosted on Cloudflare). We do not store the verification code itself once you've used it.
Kitchen content you create
Recipes, grocery lists, meal plans, and pantry items you save in the app are stored on your device and synced to your private iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit service. We do not have access to this content; it stays between your device and Apple. When you share a list or recipe with a family member, that content is shared via Apple's CloudKit sharing, not through our servers.
Display name
You can optionally enter a name in the app to be shown next to recipe ratings inside family groups. This is stored alongside your account.
Diagnostic logs
Our servers may log basic request information (timestamps, error codes, and IP addresses) for up to 30 days, used only to debug failures and protect against abuse.
How we use your phone number
Your phone number is used solely to:
- Send the one-time verification SMS when you sign up or sign back in.
- Identify your account across devices so your data follows you if you reinstall the app or sign in on another device.
We do not send marketing or promotional SMS. The only messages you'll ever receive from us are verification codes you explicitly request from inside the app.
Standard message and data rates from your carrier may apply. Message frequency is typically one verification message per sign-in attempt. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of all messages from MyKitchen. Reply HELP for assistance.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. We only share data with:
- Twilio: delivers our verification SMS messages. Twilio receives the phone number we are texting and the message body. Twilio's privacy policy applies to that handling: twilio.com/legal/privacy.
- Cloudflare: hosts our auth servers and processes requests in the normal course of operating the service.
- Apple: your kitchen content syncs through your own iCloud account. Apple's privacy policy applies to that data: apple.com/legal/privacy.
We may disclose information if required by law (e.g. a valid court order) or to protect rights and safety.
How long we keep data
We keep your account record (phone number, user ID, display name, created timestamp) for as long as your account exists. Diagnostic logs are kept for up to 30 days. Verification codes are deleted as soon as they're used, or expire automatically after 5 minutes.
Deleting your data
You can sign out of MyKitchen at any time from the Account screen in Settings. To delete your account and the associated server-side record permanently, email support@my-kitchen.app from the address you'd like used for confirmation, and we'll process the deletion within 30 days. Your kitchen content in iCloud is yours. Deleting your MyKitchen account does not touch it; that's controlled by your Apple ID.
Children
MyKitchen is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, contact us and we'll delete the account.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for material changes, notify you inside the app the next time you sign in.
